Does anyone here have a 271 fastech w kplanes? Looking for opinoins and installed pics

Powerboat magazine did a set by step install with pics for installing 280 tabs on a 271 Fastech. The issue was in 2003 if I remember correctly. I did the same install on mine. The 280 tabs are very touchy on the 271. You can roll the boat with ease. If I were to do it again, I would probably install 150s. You can email me for pics. [email protected] Jeff Wurl

My boats all dismantled now and have some 22" mayfair tabs coming . I'm probably going to mount them wide and flat. My goal is to combat chine walk. I'm also looking for advise as well tho.

Mine 280 K are mounted flat to provide chine walk
It was the owner before me, who did this, he had 840 HP engine installed,
He told me that before the 280 K was mounted the 271 started to chine walk arround 70 mph
He did 85 mph with that package :-)
