I have been on OSO for a few months now as a new boat owner and have found it very helpful..just wanted to share my Bird..my project..my passion and most likely the cause of the loss of sanity as well as retirement fund! I have been a boater all my life and watched my brother graduate up the boats and out of all that he has had I loved the Formula the best and vowed to own one someday..well someday is here and although she needs some TLC and work (otherwise I would have had to settle for a lesser boat and that wasnt an option)
I am a happy and proud owner of this 87 F-311 SR-1
I look forward to sharing her progress over the years but will say that she has improved in the few months..many beers and choice words Ive had her 1000% (yes Im ringing my own bell)
She still has a long way to go to reach the vision I have for her!
So this is my introduction as well as my Thank You to all that have helped me thusfar and an upfront Thank You to those that will help in the future with my questions Ill have along the way!

By the way..I pulled all the cabin trim to cover up the 70s Porno covering Disco Fabulous I believe they called it to find that someone had stapled that junk overtop of the original red vinyl..I just didnt have an updated pic to upload..so its no longer Soul Train cabin but back to the 'dated' as some people call it..performance boat cabin..she may be dated but Ill take the classic colors over the teals and purples

I love the classic Formulas and have admired them at the docks for many years, this model in particular. Pace yourself and keep it original as much as possible.
