I was also looking at that boat. Seems like a good deal till you figure in the price of a nice trailer, then you are pretty much right in line with most others. I do like the graphics and colors. It looks like it has X drives. I would not trust those Mercury 525 headers. Too many horry stories about them leaking. I would figure replacing them at a cost of almost 10k. Jeff Wurl

I'll meet that price with a trailer and yes you can get the blue motors with xz drives.

My 2005 has XR's and they don't look like those drives. I would check to see if the S/N's match what's on the sticker on the engine.

I called the marina, they think the boat has XR's. I emailed the HIN to formula and got the build sheet which calls out 525s and Bravo XRs. You can find some more pics here but it sure looks like the are X drives. Boat left the marina and is back with the owner.

Most others....really. How many '05 353's with 525's are you finding on the market for 90k? You need to take a better look.

and it's 7 years old with headers waiting to happen.
Face the music like I have, the perf boat market crash hurt us all unless you bought it right to begin with, which I did.
If you didn't you gotta suck it up.
So just relax- the poster has the option of being someone's devil's advocate.
You are reaching seeminigly taking his post personally and beating him up for it.
