So Tim, what did you mean about the Fountain classifieds? Are you simply putting the motors back to stock and then looking for a larger boat?

These, I was going to order two of these but told myself I had to go through the classifieds first. I have no complaints about Formula its been a good first boat for me, but I really wanted a Fountain when I bought my 292. In the fall of 05 used boat prices were not that far off of new and 35 EX were almost 200k I could not spend that much then,so I bought my 292 at a boat show.

The port engine was taken apart and inspected the longblock suffered no damage as the cylinder head went about 5 miles from the ramp. I am putting two new heads with new valves and springs on it.Parts should be there Friday and should be back on the water by end of next week. If I don't make a move over the winter will probably pull the heads on the other engine and check them. Its strange because my engine guy says there is almost no rust and corrosion in the motor except for the pinhole behind the valves.

The 292 is a great boat for what it is, just bored had her for 7 years want something different.

Most of the ramps around me are short, at low tide I am going to have trouble with a 38. Will probably get either 35 EX or 07 and above lightning.

FYI if you haven't already seen one in person, the Fountains are, well, built small and tight. Reggie is a little guy and his boats fit him perfectly. I'm 6'2" and my buddy has a 29 Fever and I've been on a friends 35 Lightening. The cockpits and cabins are indeed smaller and tighter than Formula. Thats one reason I chose what I did. My knees actually hit the dash in both. The free board only comes to my thigh, no joke. When I tried running offshore I found myself squating in and simply couldn't fit properly. In addition, the 35 Ex is the original 10 meter offshore, 30'. A Formula 353 is 33' and they are priced similarly. But yeah, the Fountains do look cool, if not alittle outdated, but if you want one, I do get why! The 35 Executioner has been on my short list for awhile.

Never got an exact price because I decided to fix it. But if you can get deals on engines from Mercury. Might have been less, probably would have been.

Its rare for me to have more than two people on my boat, my boys are getting older and my daughter thinks I'm an *******, so space wise is fine for me. I have run, and been in them, I'm fine with there size.

Well,

The 292 is not officially for sale, but for local no BS deals I'm interested. Are you or do you have someone who seriously is? Be more than happy to meet and do a test ride and give someone a chance to look it over. I can't sell this as low as other 292's go, you know that, but I'm negotiable. I have 227 hours on her. Eagle tandem tires like new. Running like a demon. Let me know...

Also the sun pad looks barren and replaced. Not sure I like that or the graphics. My 0.02

Also the back seat looks like it has been redone too. It looks a little to close to pink/teal combo for me. The blue needs to be a little more blue and red needs to be not so close to pink!
