Default Changing Front Seating on 382-F2 Question

So I like the 382 F2 boats. I don't need a cabin but would like the functionality of the cockpit from the std 382s. I was thinking about what it would take to make the front seats more user friendly. From what I can tell the bolsters and how how they mount to the sides would have to be redone and it looks like the center controls would have to move higher/forward on the dash. Then it would be simply cutting out the center fiberglass/dash/contol section between the seats and re-glassing to smooth the edges. Now in doing this would you be greatly screwing with the GC and is that section between the seat highly structural? Bascially want to make the dash straight across and be able to walk into the seats
