Did anybody fix these recently? Need to replace them, called the company that bought Pl Porter and they want $400 a piece, could I rebuild them anywhere? Any ideas? I would really appreciate it.

Assuming it's not hydraulic, how about something like a linear actuator for a satellite dish, or something similar?
You can get them with quite a small overall length, and in 12 volt!

Thanks."
