You do not need to tow more then 70mph, no one really does to be honest, what kinda mileage with the 410's?

Split you nailed it there, I towed my 303 with my 05 Sierra 5.3 3.42 gears down the thruway this year, I 90 in NYS, not many hills a cpl around Rochester, she did just fine, averaged a whopping 10.4 mpg, 2 weeks before we did the same road trip with my buddies 3/4 ton 6.0 not sure on gearing, neither is he, probably 4.10's, his boat weighs a little more then mine but not much, his truck worked its azz off was constantly shifting and really never found a happy place and we got awhopping 7.5/8 mpg, so I have decided that my next truck will not be a 3/4 ton and will be a 1500 with 6.2 and 3.73's

I also believe the 09-up 6spd tranny makes a world of difference

I agree 70 is good. With the list and tires I struggle on power but not bad. My biggest issue is the fuel tank is way to small. I came from a 2500 cummins so I have been spoiled. I put Yukon gears and it was the best thing I ever did. I have about 10k+ on them. They are quite and with the 6speed they cruse great. Next year a turbo might be In order? I and going to put narrower wheels and tires over the winter to help the drifting.
About 10-11mpg with gears depending on the trip. I was at 8-9 before them.

62/64 seems to be about the happy spot for mine, anymore and she works to hard, oddly enough it towed my 271 and was the same way and I can't really tell a difference, except for stopping but my 271 sat on a new trailer with brakes on all 4, brakes are wasted and only on one axle on this trailer, I plan on addressing this issue next year, just not sure if I'm gonna do a trailer refurb or get stupid and bye a new trailer again,

I had a shot at a 06 1500 with vortec max package, 6.0 373's when I bought my truck, probably would have been my meal ticket, but it was black and I hate black, well I hate taking care of black

Well we hope everyone, with ur setups, will be able to make it next year either to AC, Birds on the Bay, or both. You got 10 months to get ur stuff ready to roll! Maybe it will be a new feature, a tow rig show off.

I got a good feeling already. Think we are gonna see a lot of new faces. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
