Formula Owner's of New Jersey's - 4th Annual Birds on the Bay Formula Rendezvous will be held September 1st @ Tices Shoal on the Barnegat Bay - 11:00AM.
There will be a "Pre-Rendezvous" at Captain's Inn on the Forked River August 31st - 6:00PM. It will be a casual dinner with fellow owners and a nice way to show our boats off!
------RSVPs are encouraged to properly account for each event. Simply RSVP on this page or through [email protected]! Please earlier the better for RSVPs ------
A flyer should be posted sometime tonight or tomorrow - please share this event info with fellow Formula Owners. This event is a zero fee event and a very casual experience. Look through our albums of the last 3 years of Rendezvous!
Lets once again show them that New Jersey Formula Owners simply just have more fun!

Just a warning...
IDCE and I are planning on a mass promotion of this years event leading up to Labor Day weekend. So if your in the Forked River area and own a Formula, you are more than likely going to find a flyer on your boat or be handed one personally by one of us if we see you out on the water. We know there are a lot of Formula's in the area, we see them, we just want to get the word out. Hopefully we'll see a lot of new faces this year.

We've had 3 years of practice at this now and each year it gets a little bigger and better. This event is for everyone, new to vintage, kids to adults. No ones excluded. IDCE started this 3 years ago and goes above and beyond to try to accomodate everyone to make sure everyone has a good time and enjoys themselves. It's because of events like this that we've had the opportunity to meet and make some really good friends. So come labor day weekend, if your from the PA/NJ/NY/MD area, hook up the trailer. Throw a few gallons in the tank and try your best to get over to Tices Shoal. At the end of the day you'll be glad you did.

I'd like to thank I.D.C.E. for the PM invite.
It would be a good idea to put the trailered boats information on this thread so that more people may be encouraged to attend. I know that would have to trailer to be able to attend.

Info copied and modified from last years thread.
1. RAMPS : There are several ramps local that you can easily ramp ANY size boat you are trailering.*Southwinds*on*the*Forked River has*the*closest ramp to Tices however for*the long boats it can be a trick to get out of*the*ramp area if there's boat traffic or wind because of how*the*gas dock is. Thats really*the*only negative.*On*location there's a dock store, plenty of slips for transient parking, a restaurant and beach bar.*http://marinaatsouthwinds.com/home.php A friend (splitdecision) actually turned me onto going to*the*Lacey Elks Lodge*onthe*Forked River. It has a very long ramp that usually is good for any boat during mean to high tides.*The*place is very laid back for truck/trailer parking. Here'sthe*address 900 Beach Blvd Forked River, NJ 08731. There's a few others that I have used but with my 26PC but I feel more comfortable with*the*other 2. There's Townsends Marina (has nasty drop off), Ricks Marina (used once*on*a good tide had no real issues putting in). There's a free ramp too but that's mostly for smaller vessels.
*2. BOAT SAFETY : We do not want anyone to subject their boat to any kind of damage while rafted up to others during*the*day. Everyone is responsible of their own boat and we expect everyone to keep an eye out for each other. We had several boats with Imron sides rafted up over*the*past 3 years' events and*the owners of those boats usually have a felt/furry jacket that goes over*the*fenders. You also have*the*option to anchor real close if you so choose but we don't want anyone to be excluded from*the*fun!*If you have any questions or want more info of*the*area let me know*on*here or email*[email protected]. We have had people attend from Hudson Area that stayed in*the*area also.

For anyone planning on coming from out of town. There are many marinas north and south of Forked River. So do your research to find the one that best fits you or your families needs. You can send PMs to IDCE or I for recommendations if needed. We can also let you know where other Formula owners are planning on staying if you find comfort in numbers and don't want to feel all alone.
If you are planning on attending both the pre and actual rendezvous on Sunday, then I would really consider staying in Forked River somewhere as its kind of the hub for everything. The Captains Inn is located right at the middle branch of the river and its pretty much a straight shot from the mouth of the river to Tices Shoal. Not only is the mouth a decent anchorage you can literally see Tices Shoal from the mouth as well. So if you are unfamiliar with the area staying in Forked River should take any guessing or uncertainty out of your trip.

Were you able to find the information you need? Have you booked anywhere to come down?
