Default Motor pull on 242 LS

pulling the motor out this week. Looking at everything it should come out sideways without removing the seat or hatch... anyone have any experience with this and am i correct saying nothing needs to be removed?

I've pulled the engine in my 242 a few times and I didn't twist the engine to get it out. It is a tight fit but it will come out, removing the crank pulley will give you a bit more room and make the job easier.

I did the engine on my 242SS, which needs to have the sunpad removed in order to get the engine out. I would think on an LS you could get it straight out as long as you can raise the sunpad high enough.

Nope- Sunpad MUST come off, I didn't mention that as I figured that was a given.

If it was a given I wouldn't have asked Lol! Thanks for that reply tho it would suck to get to that point and then have to remove it.

Gonna have the heads freshened up, mild cam, emi thunder exhaust probably an msd ignition and maybe new csrb that's about it. Needs valve seals so I figured while its out may as well wake it up a little.
