Default Old school 242 or late 90's 271??

Greetings all! It's time for another boat. Just trying to get some thoughts from the experts. Should I go with an old school 242 or get the tech of a stepped hull and injection of a 271? Any thoughts, comments appreciated.

Later is usually better. Better hull technology for fuel and speed

I owned both, 242 first boat, 271 second boat both had a cpl minor things that was nicer then the other, buy the nicest one u find, my thoughts are u would be happiest with a 98-up 271 with the fastech technology

Thats what im leaning towards the 271. Was your 271 with the 502? I was told those will hit 68mph, That seams a bit optimistic
