Default 382 TV how to remove?

I am trying to replace the TV in my 2007 382 Fastech.
Cant figure out how to remove. I can only reach behind thru the breaker panel .
Any tips?

Thanks
Jeff H

EDIT: oops.... Didn't see the year. 07 has a flat screen right?

Jeff,

First remove the valance panel along the starboard side. You will need to unscrew the panel the lights are in, then remove the speakers and remove the nuts that hold the trim to the boat.

Then remove the lexan panel over the TV, there are two angle brackets, one above the breakers, and one under the TV. Once all that is out of the way, the TV can be unstrapped. It's not too bad of a job.

Artie,

2007 year
Flat screen, correct.
Bolted from behind I believe.
no lexan covering the TV, flush mounted to the cabinet face.

Hoping to remove without cabinet disassembly.

Thanks

Mine was a similar configuration, and the lexan doesn't actually cover the tv, I was referring to the white acrylic the cabinet is actually made of. It's really not all that bad to take it all apart. Are your AC controls to the left of the TV? Can you pull them and sneak a hand in there to get at the fasteners?

Good luck.

Figured it out.
It could not be easier. There is one 1/4 - 20 bolt that holds the TV in the center from behind.
Reached it thru the DC breaker panel.
Now I can install the new one.

Thanks
Jeff

Nice! That sure is simple! Wish the older boats were that easy...
