One thing I can say is that the pass area on the 95/96's is smaller then mine, the curve they put in the dash took up some room, this was after me and a buddy had about 5 beers and went back n forth for a cpl hours
Are you sure that the passinger wasn't just taking up more room after those beers?

How are the 303's with 7.4 MPI or LX. I believe they're both 330HP (flywheel) or 310 prop and just a basic 454 truck engine without the upgraded internals (forged crank, larger rods, etc.) of the 454 Mag. I've had a 454 33/TRS and also a 454 MPI and they both were rock solid just low H.P. and best left alone and not modified. Anyway I would imagine they'll perform reliably but probably only 65 mph and maybe a little slow to plane? It would also imagine that the cruise is the lower 40's as opposed to 50ish with the mags?

There are some 303s that were built with a different hull design and had Blackhawk drives. They are few & hard to find. I believe 88villain has one, as when he put 2" shorties on the Bravos it responded with good results.

Found this.

Thanks Jake, I was aware of the few Blackhawks but was not aware of any hull design changes on those models. Also read that the Blackhawk only worked on the 303 and not any other model. I have thought about shorties and how the boat would respond, I'm sure Formula is very conservative with drive height.

My 303 loved shorties pick up 5mph and wasn't done prop testing.
You won't regret getting a 303 trust me. Great balance of size and room.

I ran 1.5 ratio with labbed 30's needed 28's. 30's were alittle big. You run 1.32 ratio don't you,
