What is the fastest anyone knows of a 311 or 357 to have gone. What power drives etc?? What speeds have you all personally seen In your boats??

I know of a 80mph 311

bob barker here used to have a 357 in the 80 mph but i think he had around 700 hp.

cool im lightening mine up some and going to blueprint the bottom during the restoration so we will see what speeds I can swing out of it.

wondering if since im getting without power or drives if it would be worth it to go built bravo or stay trs or ssm, or just put kaamas on it and put big power in front of them???

What horsepower are you thinking? Starting from scratch I wouldn't do bravos. Kaamas were 4 or 5 mph faster over trs for the same powe according to formula. Why not go with number 3s and about 750hp a side.......setup would be huge but that would be awesome.

Was thinking in the 650 range maybe 700. Just depends on how carried away I want to get or if I go with blowers or not.

My 303 will do 84 gps with 675 a side and bravos 26 hydros.

You might want want to just buy one that goes faster thats already done. Your gonna spend some dough by the sound of things, and probably hate boats by the time your done. Just my opinion cause I,ve been there.
