The "factory" if your thinking Formula itself does not manufacture or paint the frames, Taylor does.

Any color other than a classy grey/silver (metallic) will look trailer park on your formula period.

I guess my trailer park roots are showing... I think it would look nice powder coated or painted to complement the rest of the boat.

Let us know how it turns out. I too have thought about removing the windshield and repainting as its starting to look worn and show its age. Removal just seems like it would be a nightmare of a project but the best way to make sure everything is painted evenly and painting on the boat just seems like a major headache just taping everything off and dealing with overspray.

I painted mine a few years back. I just had my local body shop shoot it. It has held up great and i like it.

I like it more than the silver. Like Smokin Gun said, I wouldnt do it again. PIA and very stressful.

Big PIA Everyone was worried about breaking the glass.Taking it apart was easier than putting it back together. lubricating the rubber gaskets was key in getting the glass back in. Once back together it took 5 of us to walk it back on. ! day to break it down, 1 day to put it back together. It cant be done correctly with it on the boat. Paint shop knocked the frame out quick while i took the glass to be tinted. The tint is not that dark plus i went with a bluish hue. Hopefully to be subtle. A guy that boats with us had the frame on his old Fountain done. That looked great and held up as well.
