Anyone know the history of this boat?

From what I hear over the years Trenton Marine is a good place to deal with. Could be something with the boat, but it won't hurt to investigate.

Just an observation. The throttle controls look worn at the top of the levers, the trim switches and speaker covers are very yellow. Could be sun damage from being uncovered or from excessive wear. Missing cockpit carpet? I thought the last year 500 EFI went into 353s from Formula was 2002?

I was thinking the same thing about it being out in the sun. Its also time to have the top ends done too.

Contact Dave Huddy from Formula boats northeast. He should be able to help you out. He's one of formula's northeast rep's and has a good relationship with trenton. I'll be seeing him this coming weekend at AC boat show so if you got any questions let me know.

I like the colors and yes 1st thing I noticed is the yellowing.

We are headed out in the area for vacation this year and figured it would be worth a stop.

For the starting price worth a look if your in the market. Agree with patience, if the hrs match the engine time for top ends. Figure $8-12k depending on who does it and how far you go. Dont remember if the boat has a trailer in the ad. Add it all up and compare to a 525 boat ready to go.

The top ends r done. Figure on springs and head gaskets at the least. Mine turned in to a snowball effect. And when done was just over 20k. But there was alot of work done not just top ends.

I would think a 525 boat will still need spring's gaskets done in same hour range too but might also need headers too. Just have everything gone over by someone else that way u wont look over stuff becouse u want the boat.
