I just got done piping through my platform. I think if you search "thru thunder" or similar there are threads where others have done it.
I enlarged my tips from the 3.5x4.5 to 5.5x4.5 inches so they now are nearly square and much larger looking. I then used 4inch stainless pipe and rubber exhaust hose and piped from the tip on the transom to the newer larger square tip on the platform. I used a flange that bolts to the square tip from inside the platform and this is where the transformation from the round 4 inch pipe to the square tip occurs. I cut and welded 45 degree angle elbows to make the offsets.
Externally the only difference is the larger tip, but it is now straight thru exhaust. It is much louder now, and somewhat louder in the boat.
The job was a pain but I wanted to keep the factory platform and have true thru hull exhaust so it was worth it to me.
