My 357 doesn't have AC. There is only a small bilge pump and float switch. The float switch is disconnected in this pic because it stopped working.

Thanks for the pic. Not sure if it's just the way the pic makes it look but the whole shape of the compartment looks different than mine. Its carpeted too, doesn't get wet?

The sides of the compartment are carpeted, the bottom is not. Yes I guess it could get wet and probably wouldn't be a bad idea to remove the bottom few inches of carpet. The compartment is rectangular in shape exactly like the step. The bottom is slightly concave to act like a sort of sump.

If so, I'm wondering if the bilge pump has been moved to make access easier.
That second area I have for the forward cabin bilge pump is a bugger to get to.
