Interested to hear how testing went. Brett at BBlades was FANTASTIC when we worked with him on a single bravo XR application. The right pitch and cup made ALL the difference in the world on the 4-blade bravo prop. I've only seen 5-blade in the larger #6 setups, but can imagine they could work ok...would be concerned about over-torquing the drive with that much blade in the water.

Was able to test and get the boat to Key West this last week. Due to limited funding, I purchased the 24" pitch five blade maximum props, rotated outward, and cruised about identical to the bravo 3 xr props I was using. Boat is a little slower on plan, but I certainly expected that. Top speed was about the same at 60 mph at 4800/4600 rpms. I do have one engine about 200 rpm's down and will look to change plugs, check compression, etc. I did put new fuel filters in. I also purchased ventilating inserts that helped me with a little more rpm during the plaining process. They were a huge improvement over the four blades and the boat runs much smoother at cruise speed which is 95% of my boating experience. I plan on having Brett tune them up next winter when I get some extra funds to bring the rpms up to 5K. I think my drives are going to last much longer without the solid hub bravo 3 xr props.
