I'll have to get a pic of the 242 hooked up to it, but here's my 2003 Suburban 2500:

It has a ton of miles on it, but tows effortlessly. Great truck!

Redneckcustoms13 11-30-2016 02:26 PM

Too bad they never put the dramamax in those. Nice tow rig.

2011 2500HD, 2006 330 SS, Considering how it looks, it tows it pretty well

I'd be sweating bullets trying to tow anything that wide here in OH! I'd probably pucker through every construction zone! lol

alindquist 12-01-2016 02:15 PM

700 Miles each way from the Florida Panhandle to West Palm... I've done it twice and it isn't fun...

Redneckcustoms13 12-01-2016 02:20 PM

How wide is it? Not over 10' I imagine.

Chart 12-01-2016 03:15 PM

330ss is 10' 3" IIRC.

alindquist 12-01-2016 03:35 PM

I thought 10'6" but chart could be right...

I think I would be "Sucking up the Seat Covers" every minute towing that beast !! What weight are you towing...including trailer ? What tongue weight? Looks like you're set up with straight Surge Brakes?

aquaforce 12-02-2016 12:02 AM

2006 Dmax,LBZ, Allison, 4X4, DRW and love it. I'll get a link up but the pic in in the my formula thread too.

08 fastech 292 12-02-2016 04:56 AM

2015 Denali 2500 HD, Duramax and Allison transmission. Irridium Mettalic with two tone tan and brown interior.

I'd post a picture but the website won't cooperate.

alindquist 12-02-2016 06:45 AM

Boat and trailer should be right around 14000, not sure on tongue weight, surge brakes. I have a 5" rise on the ball that is not in that picture. It actually tows pretty well and is well balanced.

Redneckcustoms13 12-02-2016 06:50 AM

+1 to the above. I towed my 32' see ray over 75 miles to get it home (just for the trailer lol) that is a fat boat measures 11'9" at its widest point. Heck didn't even know it was there until lane changes. I bet that dmax drags yours so well you often forget it's there as well.

MonkeySea2 12-02-2016 12:35 PM

man, here in PA, there are never ending construction zones and "cattle chutes". I'd have a nervous breakdown towing something that wide. Last summer I was towing my boat thru a cattle chute and I blew a tire. Had to keep going till I got to an emergency pull off area. My boat is 8'6 and I pucker sometimes as it is!!

That might be a stretch...

2016 Ford F-250 4x4 6.7 Diesel and 2008 Formula Fastech 353. I will post pictures as soon as I take some. Truck tows boat very well and boat and trailer are about 13,000 pounds.
Trailer has electric/hydraulic disc brakes on 2 of the 3 axels and that works really well.

Fman 12-03-2016 08:04 AM

only picture I have. 88 242LS and 91 F250 7.3 Diesel.

Nice combo, It will pull more but its the stopping that is always the issue. Love this paint design from formula.

alindquist Have you checked how much weight you have toward the bow (tongue weight) Seems boat might be a bit to forward. Could help a bit towing if you level trailer and balance properly on trailer/boat. Sir you have a lot of guts. Its amazing how most formulas look like the size of a house.

Redneckcustoms13 12-04-2016 09:17 AM

He previously mentioned that he has a taller hitch on now and the trailer sits level.
