My new 1990 272 SR1

Ive been doing plenty of reading on here for a few years, but finally picked up a 84' 242ls earlier this year. I fell in love with it and when the opportunity came to upgrade to this 272 i jumped at it. Anyhow its a nicely upgraded boat with Imco full hydraulic steering, Bravos with nose cones, a set of labbed 26p Hydromotives (not shown) and Imco exhaust. The engines are 454/420 take outs from a 357. Its not perfect, but its dry, solid and has a great color combination. I did sea trial it before purchase and ran it only up to the mid 50s with plenty left. I have a Gps shot from Mike the previous owner showing 74 with2 people and low fuel. Its going to be a long wait until spring to find out. Comments and suggestions welcomed! Thanks, Steve

Nice ride bro, the back seat on the '90 is a nice setup compared to the earlier models.

Very nice !! 272's are outstanding boats ant IMO one of the best packages Formula ever put together.

You will have years of fun with this one.

dvr4hire Congratulations! Very nice. Great power for that hull. Love the back seat, much better than just the flat model. Take the down time or make some down time and clean and polish all mechanicals. Check fluids and change filters. This procedure gets you acquainted with the equipment and trouble shoot any issues before they get worse. Finally it makes it look pretty and bad ass. The colors and graphic are a great combo. Remember this is a new boat to you, so take your time and listen to what its telling you.

congrats! I'm a bit of a newbie with 272's (purchased in Sept) don't forget to take some of that down time to check the trailer...just looking from the side I wonder if the tongue weight on that trailer is in check. those axles look really far forward to me...but it might just be me.

Nice ride!! I have a 1991 272 SR1 and absolutely love the ride. Where do you boat?

Dvr4hire is my best friend and been around long enough he knows exactly what to do with the boat. He's already torn half of it apart fixed and adjusted a few things to his liking and not just acceptable. Good info for a newbie though guys!
