Got the prop yesterday. It was dark with hard water stains due to sitting in Lake erie for a while. A little lime away, sos pad, and mothers polish and she's as good as new. Ofourse I polished it while hanging out and grilling on the houseboat last night. Today weather was cap so don't get to run it yet.

Weather was nice yesterday so I ran it. It's very similar to the revolution I actually think the revolution does better in turns but the bravo cruises roughly 1-1.5mph faster(38-39) and got 63 on the top.

Trim senders came in yesterday. It's hard for me to understand why the instructions that came with them, and even the mercury books for alpha and bravo drives instruct you to remove the drive and rotate it to one side. This took me less than an hour to do by myself. Including crawling in and out of the boat 6 times to turn and wheel and trim to adjust the limit switch. I guess they don't have access to a 1/4" drive extension and universal joint?

This said, the instructions stated bravo should be set at 21 3/4" center to center on trim cyonder when the limit switch kills trim up. That seems low to me. Is that accurate? I have it set at 23" right now.

i set my limit right at 21.75 last weekend and started to get u-joint howl when trimmed all the way up at WOT, for what it's worth.

I go by how the boat feels on my trim not necessarily by the gauge. But your saying at 21.75 you can trim all the way out to there and the boat will have bearing howl? I suppose I'll have to run mine where it likes the trim beat set at when cruising and shut down then measure the cylinder length. Just looking at it on the trailer 21.75 looked low. Like I'd still have a lot left on the table.

i do as well. i kept trimming up get the rpms and speed up with this Bravo 1 prop i'm playing with, and reached the trim limit before i passed the point of losing speed. i'm pretty sure it's the u-joints though.

Hmm. I've never heard a u joint howl I just trim up till I see the rims jump and can hear it starting to blow out and bump down a click or two.

same here. as determined in my other thread i'm overpropped with the 22p B1 and can't reach that point, but that's my method with my normal mirage+ prop (which i never ran fully trimmed up for longer than that quick moment of blow out).
