Here are a couple boats I mentioned. Not what you asked about but close. Detroit one may be sold.

Yeah. I missed it by a couple hours. :angry-smiley-055:

I was gonna call the Detroit one, but I wasn't sure how the 311 performed with the 454 mags. I really liked how my 292sr1 performed with the 454 mags, so maybe they perform similar?

db72 06-18-2017 09:48 AM

Detroit one is supposedly sold this Tues. But he is taking names and numbers. The Milwaukee 271 looks clean but priced high in my opinion. There is also a inexpensive 272 with 350's in KC on CL.

I talked to the Milwaukee guy. I dig the color scheme on that 272. But, he isn't real negotiable. For that kind of money, I'll hold out for a 292sr1, 303sr1 or a 311sr1. There is a seemingly nice 272 in Austin Tx. But, after
a few conversations with the seller, I couldn't get a good feeling about the whole deal enough to go thru with it.

formula1 06-18-2017 10:00 AM

Southwest Michigan (Detroit Metro etc) and NW Ohio freshwater boats would be perfect for me because I have a few family members that would be able to check things out for me.

db72 06-18-2017 02:04 PM

Yeah the Mikwaukee one looks good but is about 10 to high in my opinion. Do you have the info on the 272 in Texas? I am looking for a 272 I found a couple but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

Where are you located?

db72 06-19-2017 09:05 PM

IL/MO area. I found that one in Austin Tx on FB. I have a lead on one but would really like the red color scheme and this one isn't that.

the thing that turned me off was that the boat was NOT registered/titled in the current owners name. So, do your dilengence and go for it!

db72 06-20-2017 02:56 AM

I found another one for what appears to be a decent deal.

I've seen people not transfer titles a lot. I had a friend who owned a boat for 3 years not in his name and I know another guy with a similar deal. Both $20,000 plus so not real expensive boats but not canoes. They were just avoiding taxes and fees. But yeah that wpuld not be for me.

If your looking at 311's I would call about the one in MI. There is another one on Cleveland CL also.

Funny how some sellers can't sell their boat for months and raise the price. I guess sometimes they get lucky.

snowrunner 06-27-2017 06:25 PM

There was a 312 on eBay that I won last year, hopefully that was no the same boat. Had 6.2's, looked as if it was rolling in the beach in a Hurricane. Won it for $21k, needed $20k to make it seaworthy.

i drove out to Long Island NY, loooked at it and drove back home -a 22hr trip. Bought my 353 on the way back, much better deal and kept it from being a lost trip for sure.

snowrunner 06-27-2017 06:26 PM

There is a descent 312 on eBay right now

That must be the 312 with Volvo's in it... That is a hard sell.

1998 312 Formula Fastech w/502's
$40,999.00 on Powrboat Swap Shop

racinfast002 07-06-2017 02:11 PM

Think he lowered it 39,9 now. Told him to check here. Hopefully he sent you a message. Think it had 600ish hours

RGPIII 07-06-2017 02:14 PM

Good lord these things with high hours are bringing some high prices.

racinfast002 07-06-2017 02:38 PM

I mean 40 is a little high, but not a crazy number by any means. Mid 30's is what I would expect to pay for one in good shape.

RGPIII 07-06-2017 02:51 PM

I'm in the process of selling mine right now, I have less than 200 hours on the bottom ends and less than 50 hours on the top ends. stainless marine exhaust, on 502's. Brand new HP transom assemblies, K-planes, drives just gone through, props just re finished, and front seats and rear pad just re upholstered. with a huge JL sound system, and i'm selling it for 42 with a 2012 TNT triple axle disc brake trailer.
I'm shocked to see other boats with 3 times the hours on 454's that are all untouched bringing close to what i'm letting mine go for.

Are you selling it or is it sold (or in the process of being sold ie solid buyer with deposit etc)?

With talking the the new owner of my boat, member name Priobe, he has been looking for some time now as well. Seems they are tough to find with all the right options. our situation just worked out very well for both of us.

Did you ever find a boat? I found a clean 311 in the midwest. 2 owner. I think I am going to pass on it but I think it would be a great boat and could probably be bought right.

formula1 07-24-2017 07:51 PM

Yeah, let me know. For the last two weeks I have been working on a deal for a 311 Kaama boat. Looked amazing, was a good buy, had everything lined up (money, transportation, survey and an extra pair of eyes from a fellow OSO member), but, the survey was done today and
come to find out, it was a rotten mess. The whole section under the gas tank, previous transom repairs that rotted again etc, So, needless to say, I bailed and back to shopping.....AGAIN! Many thanks to member Car Biz for lending a set of eyes on this boat for me.

Tim312 07-24-2017 08:11 PM

There's another 1999 312 in the powerboat swap shop for sale!
Asking $39,000.00, was posted yesterday AM.

db72 07-24-2017 08:41 PM

It is on boat trader in TN. It is palm beach colors. If you can't find it email me [email protected]

Guy is 2nd owner since 99. He is getting out of boating or going way smaller so I think there is a deal there. He just ran it last weekend and text me some video.

I looked at it seemed very clean. I did not check it for moisture but it has been stored inside most of the past 18 years.

snowrunner 07-24-2017 10:30 PM

A nice 2002 312 avail in Detroit, 31K. Downside is 350 mags. on CL

Thanks. After seeing and running a couple 303's, I'm not sure it's worth the other $10k+ for a 312. But, I haven't ruled them out.

Thanks. Did you get a "feel" for where he wanted to be price wise?

I'll re-look on the Detroit CL. Thanks!

Yeah. Just don't want to put it in an open forum. If you email me (I can't pm) then I can give you that and some more info.
