Formula 303 / 312 for sale

Hey, after exhausting all the possible boat search options I know, I was wondering if anyone on this site might have any good leads on a Formula 303 or 312? FYi, the 312 on Facebook sounds like he already has a committed buyer.

Nice! I wonder how it performs with the regular 7.4's?

And, actually, there are quite a few 303's under $30k. However, most of the 303's owners I have spoken to (or made offers too) have a lot
of stuff that needs to be addressed from leaky hull to deck joints, bad manifolds & risers, rotted Mcleod Bolsters and bad (or going bad) motors.
I mean, I understand these boats are 20 years old. I expect some stuff to be wrong.
But, when you read the ads, they either aren't very truthful or the owners are just ignorant or both. UGH.

There is a guy named Ted Jones that just posted a 310 Sutphen on Passion for Powerboats that looks really nice. He is in Stuart, FL.

The 97 on FB has a deposit on it, and I'm second in line behind that.

Have you tried all the ones on Boat Trader? Pro Team Marina has a 99 but cant get Jamie to call me back.

Yeah, that' the issue I'm having. It seems half the broker's don't return calls.

I might look into that.... I prefer the 454 or 502 mags. Only because I rode in a 454 mag boat and loved how it performed. I haven't pulled the trigger on that boat (the one in Stuart) because of all the blowby, off idle stuttering and low oil pressure on "new" motors. On top of that, try getting info from that sales guy without getting covered in BS.

Thanks! I saw that boat. I liked it, especially since they're made here in Fort Myers, but I'm trying to stay with what I know....Formula.

Thanks for the link. Seems a little pricey for a 6.2 boat. For that kinda dough, I 'd buy the one in Michigan with HP500's from the factory for the same $$. Please, don;t get me wrong, I appreciate the link and heads up, but, with all the hours and searching for this
boat, I feel I should post up what I feel (based on what I have seen and researched etc).

Getting somewhat desperate, I expanded my search to the west coast of the country in search of a deal. Nothing really came up except this:
https://spokane.craigslist.org/boa/6109860593.html

The owners seem quite a bit optimistic on their pricing, especially by the time I add survey and delivery charges. I could damn near buy a 353, lol. Looks like a damn nice boat though. Not sure if its worth a call or not.

88242LS 05-20-2017 04:00 PM

Looks nice thou, he is high on price, ill sell mine for that and it has 502's lol, it is still early, alotta boats come outta storage this week

Thanks for the motivation for patience! I keep forgetting about how long and cold those northern winters can be! ;)

88242LS 05-20-2017 05:07 PM

I waz there once, i know that theres a dollars and cents to everything, but when we bought ours we got the nicest one we could with our money, we over paid for it a bit, but it was worth it, i kept looking at 312's but in our price range they were all 454/310's i def wanted nags, and the 502's were the deal clincher

Tim312 05-20-2017 05:08 PM

Looks clean!

That is priced pretty high for 1995. Thats what I would let mine go for at the end of the season.

snowrunner 05-22-2017 10:07 AM

That 312 is still on CL, with 500's. Bay City, Michigan

GMC271 05-23-2017 04:45 PM

Is the price $39,900 Canadian? If so, that is approximately $29,500 US.

88242LS 05-24-2017 07:29 PM

A beautiful 272bjust git listed on powerboat swapshop on fb, imo hold out for a 303 thou the extra mph is worth it

Yeah, I have been eyeing this boat. Not sure how the 311 runs with 454 mags. I was happy with my 292 sr1 with 454 mags. I would guess the 311 would be a little slower, though. Seems like the 311 would be better with 502's...

Trying to keep all the options open, but a 303 is what I would prefer. I even inquired about a 32 Fountain with 6.2's.....:bong:

Well keep chasing then it will come,

boats74 05-26-2017 07:19 AM

303s are great boats, you won't be disappointed. Great ride, and excellent design. I love mine, but it might go up for sale late summer to go for my masters degree...

Thanks! I had seen this boat advertised over the last several months, but I finally looked at it just now since the price has come down closer to earth. I emailed them.

CBlakeNS 06-05-2017 03:51 PM

Got a 33'6 if you are interested.

Still looking!

The Rockport boat sold. Been working on a 272 SR1 deal, but, I'm not sure if I want to get a 30 year boat that I am not able to put my eyes on and deal with all the logistical issues.

There's gotta be a decent 303 or 336 somewhere?

snowrunner 06-12-2017 09:45 AM

311 FS in the Detroit Area, others as well on Craigslist. Freshwater boats!

badmonkey 06-12-2017 10:45 AM

Formula1,

You should take a real close look at CBlakeNS 336...I know this boat and its perfect....This maybe the gem you are looking for.

Good luck,

Chris

There is a red 311 In detroit area now. I think it may of sold today. There is a what appears to be clean 272 in Milwaukee Area. There is a not bad looking 272 at the Ozarks from KC.

That 311 posted above looks good. I wish it was different colors.
