haha you'll be my first point of contact when the day comes, John!

I believe you would be happy with a 19 revo. Remember that when you go from 3 blade to 4 blade you generally drop an inch or two of pitch. So it would seem to me you over proped with the 22 b1

I agree the Rev 4 19 pitch would be a good test. I have a 21p Rev 4 and 22p B1 for my boat. The Rev 4 produces more stern lift vs the B1's bow lift. I prefer the B1.

I like both of mine. If I had my revolution worked to a 22 I believe it would out do the b1 all day.

what speed did you see with this setup? if i'm at 51mph & 4300rpm, and i could gain 1-2 mph with a lab job at 4600 i'm right back to where i was speed-wise with the 21p Mirage+, but with the 4-blade benefits.

everything i read says the B1 spins like it has 1-2" less pitch than labelled as.

side note, i was able to trim all the way up at full throttle without ventilating the Bravo prop, but would get a u-joint howl; is that normal? i just put new trim senders on (redid everything between the gimbal housing and outdrive actually, gimbal bearing included) and calibrated them, so i'm almost positive i'm not trimming past the design limits. u-joints looked and felt great, and i topped them off with grease.

If bet if you get a 19 revo you could get her closer to 47-4800rpm.

i'm not sure my boat would like that much stern lift. i'll definitely throw one on if i get the chance to try though.

You cover shipping and your welcome to borrow mine. It's not in perfect shape but honestly I like it more than my b1 as far as lift. It will run through turns at full trim. The b1 had to trim down to take turns without blowing out.

That's definitely not anything I have experienced with my B1. What speed are you turning at when this happens? Only time mine breaks loose is towing a tube and maneuvers across my own wake. Very cool of you to lone out your prop I must say.

sounds like you are over trimmed. I think your limiter measurement is 21 3/4 " center of the ram pins. Noise and vibration are never good. Neither is wiping out a gimbal housing when a U joint fails. Ask me how I know.
