Gas Cap solved, once I found out the "waste" cap would fit, I compared the threads to the one I purchased on Ebay, and of course they matched. The Problem was that the one from Ebay was cupped enough to not allow the threads to engage without pushing in the center of the cap, and of course once I did, it threaded in. I suspect a few days baking in the sun will correct the problem. Thanks for all of the input!! And yes proof positive I really and old!!
