1989 272 Sr1 k plane indicator
#11
The brochure for 1988 shows that the K-Planes and indicators were separately optional on the 272, though I don’t think someone would order one without the other. It’s interesting that you have electric trim indicators for the drives, too. With K-Planes they would be mechanical for both.
I agree with Hunter; I think it’s very possible that the K-Planes were added.
Take down the HIN and reach out to Formula. They’ll tell you how the boat was optioned. They’re very helpful with support.

Good to know. I will do that any idea on who to reach out to at formula I called them in the past to try to find something out but the recording said to send emails instead and I never got around to it. But good to know.
But im guessing with your original statement is that I shouldn’t worry about putting indicators on and just leave it be the way it is huh?

I personally wouldn't worry with indicators. Once you get the boat together ans start getting the feel for it, you wont look at them anyway. Maybe I'm thinking differently than most. I have bennets and on my little 242 they do the job. No indicators, just adjust accordingly to conditions. Most of the time they are all the way up anyhow.

Thanks so much for the help guys. Much appreciated. Can’t wait to get her back together and back out on the water. Fingers crossed for it happening this year.
Now if if I could only figure out my trim switches. They are not going up unless I use the trailer trim switches. Any ideas
