Being a 1989 it will not have oil circulation in the drive. See how much play is in the gimbal

600 hours. I don't see the drive resivior on the engine, is this what to look for? I am not versed in all of the bravo changes over the years.

I think I can guess what those water jackets look like. There are lots of older boats for sale out there. If it were me I would keep looking. Your boat is too nice to cram a bunch of junk in it. JMO but that boat is either owned or serviced by someone who doesn’t care. Or both.

Tom I normally agree with you, but, on this one I say run don't walk.
As for this being an oiler? I don't think so.

My bad. I really only looked at the engine pic. I didn’t see the full drive pic. iPhone problems.

When I I looked up the serial number, it listed having the reservoir (my ‘89 242 had the reservoir).

I agree though. There are plenty of other ones to find. I would look for a Magnum too.

Ok, I’m going to pass. The guy said it is winterized so I can’t even hear it run, wtf? How the hell do you expect to sell something like that?

AllDodge 09-29-2018 03:21 PM

my money is on overheating. That spaghetti wiring job is likely an attempt to shut the high temp alarm off.
