I talked to Scott Porter at the St Louis boat show about 10 years ago about building a CC with the 350SS, 370SS and 400SS hulls. The beam on those hulls is about perfect for a CC. Scott's reply, it will never happen. They've done well with the SS line, but I still wonder how much more production they might have had if they had a CC line.
