why no new FasTechs??
I've recently been looking for a new boat and have always wanted a Formula, I was looking online and saw that they no longer had any of the FasTechs on their website, I talked to a sales rep and she said that they were ending production of the 292, but she didnt say anything about the 353 or 383, so I am a bit confused.

Formula told me that there has been a big slow down on the Fastech line the last couple years, so they are going to focus on the boats that are selling...
Sad for sure!
Hopefully the molds stay in a safe place for future use if & when they're needed!

Fastechs are finished. Formula has shifted (sideways) with the market, cruisers, outboards and other stuff. If you're dead set on a new Fastech, contact the factory, I'm sure they still have all the molds and tooling, they might be flexible but I think it'll cost ya.
Nothing wrong with a good used one. They've always been good boats with a good track record. badmomkey (above) has a well documented example. New high performance boat market is simply too expensive and too impractical. On the flip side, the used market has some good offerings.
Sorry, but that's the truth.

PBC? Formula boats of Missouri has a new 353, at least it was still in their showroom a couple months ago. Pretty sure it was one of the last ones built. They had it at the boat show in St Louis this past winter. Haven't been over there lately to see if it has sold.

353 was still in showroom last time I was down. Looks like someone might have stepped up to it.

Yes, Formula had on their FB page that the last of the FasTec's was shipped about a month ago. Boating style has changed, favoring boats with more seating capacity and cockpit space, and the Fastec's are limited in both of those aspects.
I sure do wish that Formula comes out with sort of a 'hybrid' boat that takes the best features of the Fastec hull (24˚ V, narrow beam) and applies that to the best features of their Sun Sports, Bow riders, and CBR's.
