Looking at purchase a canal lot home in south fla.. Some have fixed bridges with 8 to 9 feet clearance at high tide in which the home is cheaper than non- fixed bridge. So far I have narrowed down my purchase list to the 04 to 09 Formula 40 SS (10.6ft brdge clearance) and the 40pc (12ft bridge clearance). Obviously boat will not make the bridge clearance needed. So the question to be asked is can the radar arch be modified to tilt backward to fit under a fixed bridge? has anyone attempted this before? Do not want to removed the arch completely as its needed for sun protections etc. Also does anyone know the height to the top of the windshield on these boats? Any info is appreciated..

The arch is fabricated aluminum. It has all the wires running inside for the radar , radios, GPS, ect ect. Anything is possible with a couple of linear actuators. Many big yachts have this ability. I would guess with fabrication, paint, wiring mods you would be $25K plus at a minimum. Most large shipyards can probably give you a much better idea. We are lookin at marco island........
