Definitely keep up on the water intrusion thing! And make sure your cockpit drains have hoses connected to them that go into the bilge. Water can get under the floating floor and get into the foam between the tank and the stringer grid. You do not want that!

Windshield and rubrails are the biggest issues with water up front. I keep mine pointed high and always covered.

Thanks tom

i do have it sitting high on the trailer so anything drains to the bilge. I am going to seal off all the windshield screws just in case that’s an issue or prevent it from becoming an issue. A while back I saw somewhere that you can get a new windshield gasket but haven’t been able to find it again. Figure I may as well replace it

Does anyone know if this is what the windshield gasket looks like? I guess this is what formula uses currently. I haven’t pulled my boat apart. Was hoping to order what I need then take apart to replace so it’s a reasonably quick fix as boating season is here. Thank you

Get a full cover and you should be good. Put it on any time it is about to rain. On the plus side it will stay cleaner.

This is a pain in the butt in Florida (pop up thunderstorms) when the boat is on the trailer...BUT I DO IT!

I keep mine covered all the time. It’s a pain sometimes but I’d rather have a dry boat.

** I know I mentioned that earlier in the thread… can’t stress it enough.

I actually clear siliconed around the base of each stancion (holding up the hand rail) to try to seal better.
