Question motor change?454 vs 502

Need some mph numbers. Have 1995 232LS with dual-prop , power now is stock 454/ 330hp. Thinking of motor swap to 502mpi. The boat runs 59-60mph now, wanted to see what the speed would be for a 502/ 415hp. Any help would be great, or if anyone has the same boat with 502 what does it run?

Thanks

There's a rule of thumb that says "1 mph per 20 HP"
From what I've seen in the 60 mph range that's pretty much true.So figure 63/64 mph.
It's a lot of work and expense for only a couple of mph

A '93 252Sun Sport Cuddy cabin, single 454-450 hp with a Procharger (5# boost) ran 75 mph. That was 23 mph improvement and the fuel economy increased greatly at cruise. The boat carried the bow a lot better with the increased power and made the boat ride much better in the rough. I think the extra power is worth it for that reason alone.

EX, I would put a procharger on it. My friend put one on his 28 sunsation what a diffrence had a 502 it ran about 67 mph now with procharger 82 may be a little more. This will be your best bang for your buck.My guess you could get about 10mph easy.
