If yours is like mine, you need to pop the trim piece off the front of the radio and then slide a thin metal shim in on either side of the radio to disengage the locking tabs. The radio sits inside of a metal chassis, the chassis stays in place and the radio slides out.
Check your manual package you got with the boat, they should have supplied you with special metal shims for this purpose. If not, fab some up using sheet metal, thick feeler gauges or even a couple of butter knives might work. Just stick 'em in along the sides of the unit then pull the unit out. You'll see how they work once it comes out.
Good luck!!

If you can not find the release tabs then let me know what kind of stereo you have and I should be able to tell you were the release tabs are and how to get them to pop
