You will love that boat! Welcome to the brotherhood or Formula!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited. I paid almost nothing for the boat... the drive was stolen... TWICE, and the previous owner had had enough of that. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time!

Congrats nice looking

'84 F3-LS (new to me) takes her maiden Lake MI voyage

I just picked this up from the Twin Cities area and brought her back to west Michigan. It's a very well cared for old bird that should provide lots of boating enjoyment for years to come. She handles five footers (if you're careful) without a problem -- see the pics. http://s1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff492/sideskraft/

sold for 30k... better not think what I had in it!!! next I'm not sure... I was sure but ain't anymore... 37 or 40ss, for cruiser amenities when I travel for my 1 week vacation /yearthat's what my heart wants. on the other hand, it becomes hard to trailer because it's wideload, so probably have to stay at same spot in a marina, can't take care of all maintenance myself... sometimes, for only a week of vacation a year, I would then choose a formula 419...

we'll see!

They "DO" look good in the water, don't they.

Hematite 09-05-2011 09:45 PM

I'm a fan of the "classic" Formula boats but we went modern when we recently purchased our 260SS. May not be fast but the 200 watt Kenwood stereo and subwoofer and the Corsa Captains Call will keep me awake. LOL.

That's exactly what the wife and I thought! In all the boats we looked at, no other boat had the quality and the incredibly useable floorplan that the 260SS has in a trailerable day boat. I think that John Adams reached a zenith when he designed the 280SS and then branched out with that design to all the other SunSports.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments!

I purchased this 1995 F-232 LS last saturday from a Formula dealer in Lake George NY. I haven't been on the water in a few years since selling my Donzi Z-22 a few years back but have been a boater most of my life. I'm excited to get back on the water with the family next season. This boat was a trade in back in 09 and has been owned by the owner of the dealers mother for the past 3 years. The boat was too clean to pass up

Boat looks pretty clean, looks like you're ready to go, are you going to wait until next season to splash her for the first time.

I'm waiting for the new trailer to come in next week so we can pick it up. The trailer was part of the deal and he unfortunately couldn't get it in this week but will have it by mid next week. The plan is to pick up the boat next weekend and i'll probably drop it in the lake before we head back to CT. Thanks for the compliments. I thought it was a great find myself
