Hey, 5"PP (or whatever we're gonna shorthand your screen name), you shoulda been out in the Lake with Axa and I Sat.
. We came into Big Sandy...starting to pick up some...so off to Main Duck! Sat behind main duck for a bit, then off towards the Pond only to come around hard to port for the run around Stony Point and into Whites Bay for some anchorage before heading back to the Bay. Got K-planes on that day-boat of yours? Come'on out into the Lake with us on a windy day for some miles...we'll teach 'ya how to use 'em.

I can't make any sense out of that handle whatsoever. So, 5PM, let's have it. What's the story with that name????
Rip, sounds like a nice ride you had. I've been to all those places more than a few times. Did you drop ground tackle at Main Duck? If you do, you have to check in with the Canadian Mounties. One of my buddies droped his hook without checking in and had to pay a fine right then and there, like 100 bucks if I remember correctly. Of course, knowing my buddy, he probably got right into the authority's face and barked a bunch of unsavory chit though.

you river gals don't understand, every outing I've had has been on the big lake this year, i ain't no Oneida boater. Axa was telling me about the big 5-6 footers last weekend. I'll assume given his perception of size they were actually 3's like we had on the lake Saturday. The new toy is fully equipped with K-Planes, Latham, and it's even got bolstered rear seating to keep peoples dumb a&&es onboard. I think we've had two days of calm water this year on Ontario. Alot of wind. The Donzi handles the slop VERY well.

ThirdBird, no anchor in the water at MD. Can you do the cell phone thing from there? Haven't been out there to overnight in 3 years and was aboard a buddies...how do I say this....
blowbote. Can't remember how he checked us in. 5P...glad to hear you have all "the good stuff". The East end is the worst, the way it piles up there looking for the River. As much as Axa has a "perception of size" issue
, he was right on in his report to you.

A blowbote!!!!!!!
What the fock were you doing on a laundry hanger?????? What'd ya do, take a couple days of vacation time to make all the way out to Duck?????
Yeah, I've used the cell to check in out there, no prob.
As for the waves on Saturday, I can attest to honest 4 footers with occaissional 5 footers. We went to Oswego that day. Calmed down a bit over by Oswego but they were pretty tall off Nine Mile Point. The 311 took 'em nice with tabs low at about 35 to 38 mph. Coulda bumbed it more than that but my friend's 242 was working pretty hard through that snot. I paid for that little trip in gas though. With tabs low running at almost 40, the "Old Bird" really sucks the fuel down.
I can also attest that if I was running in 4-5 footers down my way, Rippem probably was seeing 5-6 footers up his way. It's always rougher from Stoney Point north.
As for the Formula get-together, the 242 will most likely be there. Another couple with a 223 are saying they will come but I have my doubts about that one. So, if there are only two of us from down my way, how many total firm attendees do we have? We might have to let that Donzi-cousin come along.

Definites...
axapowell
Rippem
5PMSMWHR (I believe, though we can pretend we don't know him)
RaggedEdge (if he owns a boat by then)
I'm not holding my breath...
I'm working on a couple others, though they're the types that you never know what the hell they're gonna do until that day...
My response is "be there or be square!".

No bolt-ons for me...
Reminds me of a previous discussion on OSO, where on of the guys reported how he had a GF with serious add-ons once. He noted how often times in bed he would reach over for a handful, and not know if he had a tit, her skull, or the lamp.
