Nope, not since Sunday, been working up on Longboat Key and St. Petersburg.

Been raining too hard also. I need to put some type of tarp or something to get under some shade. Sun was just brutal.

Man it's tight in there. This is going to be quite frustrating at times I think, but if I don't give it a shot, I'm looking at least the fall before I could afford to have someone else do it. So, what have I got to lose? I would like to start enjoying it again.

You had the 302 out on the St. Johns yet???

Supposed to be an OPBA meeting tomorrow night, Erturk sent me an email saying he thought it was going to be at Mirage by the drawbridge on Tierra Verde, also said an email would be sent out, so far nothing.........

It is VERY tight working between the two motors. I always end up with a bunch of small cuts on my forearms just changing the plugs. You could pull off your carbs & linkage so you can lie right on top of the motors if need be. Just put some tape over the intake port to seal it. It is much easier without worrying about that, and they come off pretty quick. Just a thought. Good luck, do it right, no leaks or bye bye motors!

Jay, thanks for the suggestions. Actually, the carbs are coming off and I'm having them rebuilt. I had some "water in the float bowls" issues last New Year's Day, and I don't want any more problems when I finally get it back on the water.

I've "built up" and "rebuilt" motorcycles. Did most of my own work on my "muscle" cars so I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I am also extremely metitulous so I will take my time and be sure everything is right.

Where would be the cheapest place to get 2 new sets of stainless bolts? Any ideas?

I'd say just take one out for size, and go to your local industrial supply shop. Definitely would replace all exhaust related bolts for sure.

Good idea, thanks. Hmmmm wonder why I didn't think of that.

Oh yeah, it's the "pressure" Cuda has me under.

Home Depot has stainless bolts, as does Lowes. Be aware that stainless isn't as strong as a good graded bolt. Grade 8 bolts don't rust away very quickly either. That being said, I put stainless on the SBC I built for the Donzi.

I checked the yellow pages and "golleee Sgt. Carter", there they were, several industrial fastener suppliers. Guess they'll have what I need.

Am going to learn how to use the digital camera this weekend. Damn instruction manual is over a hundred pages. I just want to shoot some pictures with it, not make an academy award movie.
