Finally started the exhaust swap out
This past Sunday I finally got to start my exhaust swap out.
One thing that is reassuring, is I found a good mechanic who, if I get in trouble, can take over, without throwing a fit about me doing as much work as I can obviously to save money. Started "dismantling" all the stuff in the way. The silent thunder box is all but off. Want a neighbor to stand watch when I pry it loose from the stern, and he wasn't available Sunday. Put some boards down across the stringers to lay on the floor of the bilge without racking the hell out of my back. Have to put a tarp up to get in the shade though, it just gets too friggin hot in this Florida sun this time of year. Will rig that up this weekend. After fifteen minutes in the sun you can't even hold a wrench it's so hot. Long way to go but I think I can do it myself. |

Re: Finally started the exhaust swap out
Jeesh Outlaw, you oughta be using the boat, not starting a project on it. Projects are for the off-season. Oh wait, you don't have an off-season down there. You bastid!!!!
What are you going to do with the Silent Thunder board?? |
Re: Finally started the exhaust swap out
Cuda: nope, just broker after out of work for eight weeks...

Ahah! That explains it. Cheaper to work on the boat than drive it. :D Hope this is not a long term situation for you Outlaw, best of luck with a new source of fundage. |
Re: Finally started the exhaust swap out
Russ, you wouldn't happen to be from South Carolina would you? ;)

Re: Finally started the exhaust swap out
Third: Just went through an eight week kidney stone ordeal, I work for myself in the cabinet/furniture design and construction. Then it took about almost two weeks to get over it (and get off the drugs) before I was really back at work full time. :hothead:
Cuda: nope, I'm originally from Tennessee. Close enough I guess. |

A friend was up from No. Carolina last week. Went boating with us for a day. He got back to work on Yesterday only to find he had no job. Bang, just like that, he's done. Laid him off while he was on vacation. How do you like that treatment. And they wonder why people go into work with heavy artillery and start mowing bosses down!!! |
