I doubt that anyone on the board has that set up. I'd be surprized if there is another one set up just like it anywhere.

That is a heavy and deep boat for blackhawks. I have never seen them on a Formula.

I agree Powerguy, I thought those Blackhawks were designed only for smallish, lightweight boats. They are a semi-surfacing drive that never really worked out all that well, ergo, they don't make 'em anymore (at least I don't think they do).

Unless you drive that rig and really check it out good, I'd steer clear Mike. That's probably the reason the boat has an appealing price tag. How much is it anyway? Just curious to see what that strange set-up is selling for.

If the blackhawks are in good shape you could sell them for enough $ to buy a new set of bravo drives. The bravo drive bolts right up to the gimbals the same as the blackhawks. You might have to adjust the hydraulic steering but should work fine.

Yup, those are Blackhawks alright,,,,,,,,,,, on a 30 foot Formula. Whoda thunk it??!! Wonder how it runs. Boat looks nice in the picture except for that foolish early '90s, gay looking, ball and triangle paint job. Formula did that chit for like one year,,,,,,,,,, thank god!!!!!!!!!

Mikescarab,

I have a 1994 303 for sale in the OSO classified.
502's with bravos, very, very clean boat with less than 250 orig. hours.
Runs 72 on GPS in less than ideal conditions, could see 74-75 in perfect conditions or with labbed props. Engines are stock with 2 year old stock manifolds, so there's room to gain some speed there.
Asking 65,000 with like-new alum. trailer. Lets talk. 609-462-0264. I'm in NJ.

Thumbs up Re: Speed ?? 303 SRI ???

Thank you Toolman for your offer !

I have think Black Hawks are better than Bravoīs, but now i now it better !!

A setup with Bravos, i have at time !!

I hava a 28 Scarab with 502 EFI with Bravo and in germany i can only tow 3,5 tonīs, so my boat are a littel bit better than a 30" Boat !! The only kick whas the Black Hawk drives !!

Thank you to all, for the good data infos !
