Default Another Bolster Question

The passenger bolster seat in my '86 357 doesn't stay all the way in the upright position- when you sit on it it moves down about 6" so your sitting at a forward angle. Does anybody know if that spring-loaded ram underneath the seat can be adjusted?

Sounds to mike the strut is shot. It's gas-charged I think.
