Ramb, What year and power are you running? Did you have any blistering or any damage to the transom when you took the platform off.
Nice shot of your old bird.
I think this is my early spring project.

1988, first year of bravos. 330hp 454's. hit 65.1mpg with labbed props at 4600 rpmthis spring. and finally learned after 5 years that the boat flies level with 3/4 or more in the fuel tank
.
It has bennetts, but i may fabricate something better this winter.
Notice the tie bar i fabricated this year. cost me about $240 buck total in material and is 100% stainless.
no blistering or any damage to transom. it is buffed better than the pic now but some yellow remains where the outer gasket goes. no matter, I am going to fix the platform and reinstall.

Ramb... Dude that is the sickest aeration pic I ever laid my peepers on! I had a 242ls with a 500 hp big block and a 272ls with twin 365 horse big blocks and I could never get either one of them to do the levitation trick in that pic! although I did stuff the 272 and shredded a buddy and myself pretty good.

Offshoreratboy - Where did you get your stainless platform? Is it like in the pics I posted above (bottom 2 pics). I have been looking for something similar.

Bought it used from a guy who could not use it. I guess he bought without measuring or something like that sold it to me for half what he paid. I believe it is the Extreme Marine? I will post pics tomarrow. It is similar to yours but does not have the ladder bar sides...

Cool. Mine is actually the top pic so I have a wooden platform. I'd like to have a stainless one and have been looking for somewhere besides Extreme Marine that makes them. Extreme wants $1750 for the one like in the bottom two pics I posted above.

Here is a pic of the platform, It is an extreme marine and it just happens to be the exact color I painted the rear stripes to get rid of the dated black one. Dont plan on installing it till off season.
