Those are PEM studs that are pressed into the panel. I would have used the type that presses from the opposite side of the panel......

The only thing for you to do is drill through and install a similar sized phillips flat head (like what holds the hinge brackets) or.....new panel! Next time.....try unlatching before you try to open the panel. :) :evilb:

I am working on redoing my dash panel on a '97 382. I was looking through some old threads on the subject and saw that you had some extra blanks made. Do you still have any left?
