Meter reads the output of the battery switch and that means what ever battery is selected. My 1989 has two voltmeters and the both read the same. If I run one battery they both read that one. They are not set up to read the battery associated with the engine on that side.

I added fuel pressure , oil temp and water pressure

Yeah...normal highs now about 54/55. Couple more weeks till the "unwrapping party". Usually around the beginning of April.
Still waiting on my new heads also.

Tried the voltmeter test today .....mine are separate ... if you start one motor only that Voltmeter indicates Voltage ....

No no , they're not tied together , rather there is only one 12v source coming from the batteries in the back. If bat 1 is selected both read 1. If bat 2 is selected both read 2 . If both are selected they read both.
You can tell by turning one ignition on and reading the volt meter(engine not running) now start the other engine and watch both volt meters...they will both charge  .
Now shut iff the one that's running and both meters will drop ;)
