Brought my boat to the filling station tonight. While I was watching my pocket being emptied out ( ) a destinguished gentleman and his attractive wife pulled up next to me in a brand new black Caddy SeVille. He was joking to me about having to fill the boat up and we began talkin a little boat stuff. He was actaully on his way to a restaurant , saw the boat and pulled in to make some very nice compliments of my boat, the Formula boats as a whole and also the Porters. We exchanged names and found out he's the owner of HarrisKayot. (Boat Manufacturer in Ft. Wayne) I extended an offer to take him out in it anytime. Thought it was quite impressive.

That was probrably Jim Poirey(sp) Sr. A very classy gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. He has let his two sons begin to run many aspects of the business. We sold their pontoons for years,wonderful product.According to the story the first commercially available pontoon boat was built by Kayot,now HarrisKayot. Founder's wife's name was Kay,she wanted her husband to buy her a boat,he welded together some metal containers,decked it over,named it Kay's Yacht (Kayot) True story

That's a nice story to hear.

It was Jim. His son has taken over as President. You could tell by talking to Jim and his wife that thet are nice people.
