Default Upgrade from a 29' to a 32' or 35'???

Well its already happening my "3ft. Idis" is itiching again after the holiday. Would a jump to a 32 be just adding a second engine maintenance? and not much if any gain on the ride.
Or should I just wait until the next tax bracket jump and hold off until I can afford a 35'. I have a 525SC in my 29 so unless I find one with big motors I would probably lose speed right???
Thanks, guys.
BTW.
If there is anyone at LOTO with a 32 or 35 I would love to hitch a ride to compare.

I know a great guy, a *fabulous* guy really, who might be willing to part with his beloved 1998 32 Fever. He is meticulous about his boat, and actually may be willing to ship it to LOTO. This guy is such a sweetheart that he may even opt to sell his HydroHoist boat lift as well. He really is a gift to ALL of humanity.

Go for the 35. Much nicer boat over 32.

We were/are facing the same decision. We have a 2000 29 with 500efi. 32's cockpit is actually smaller than the one in the 29. 32 and 27 have the same cockpit size. The 29 single is the "extended cockpit" and having moved from a 27 to the 29, it is definitely noticable. Even the swim platform on the 29 is bigger (for those of us who have somewhat "larger" backsides" , as compared to the 21 yr old centerfold models). The additional length on a 32 is in the motor compartment and in the form of a longer bench seat in the cuddy. Same cooler and sink as in the 29, from what I could see, other than they moved the location for the switches. We are going to just wait and get a 35 Lightning, 353 Fastech or 38 Fever. The insurance on the 38 is actually cheaper than the 35 with 500's because of the way they determine who and how much the insurance will cost. Progressive will insure a 38 with 500's or a 353 with 500's for about $1200/year, but they won't touch a 35 with 500's. 425hp is the highest they would go for a 35 lightning. You would have to get insurance thru one of the HP insurance places, and the best deal we could find was just over $3000 per year, with a ridiculous deductible.

I have a 2001 32 that I will sell. Right now it has 572's in it but am considering putting in the 509's EFI's I have in order to sell it. It has IMCO lowers on it and runs around 104 with eyepoping acceleration. 95,000 on double axel Myco trailer. Call me at 336 214 6900 Roger

About the best advice that I can give is ride in all of your possible choices before you choose one.

I think if you do you will wind up in a 35 or 38 - both are great boats.
