Default Oil temp

What is a normal oil temp mine gets up tp the 240 rage crusing then at an idle drops to around 200 is this normal. 502 Mag mpI on a 93 27 fever

I can only offer 500efi... max 190 cruise 160

Same here for 500EFI, 140-160 cruise, 180 max. Not sure why it doesn't go above 210F to boil off condensate, but not sure where the oil temp is measured (pre cooler or after cooler). That may explain the differences.

Our 96 27 fever used to run the same way. 235 cruising then it would drop to 190 or so. Never had any problems, but i did change the oil every 10-15 hours. hope this helps

I complained about high oil temp on my twin 6.2 MPI's 230 @ normal cruise and 260 @ WOT. Delivery sheet showed the same numbers and Mercruiser says it's OK as well. My friend with the same boat but a 525 EFI runs very low 190 Max. MY .02...

I'm running a 496HO at idle oil temp is around 120 under moderate driving gets to about 150, under long hard driving runs it gets to about 200.

Redline, I have the same exact boat and the same problem
I am changing my remote oil filter and adapter to a 540 bulldog unit with a thermostat because this was a problem with our engines also I am switching all of my oil lines to #12 hose with aeroquip fittings I should have everything in this week and will let you know how I make out

01 502MPI, 190 degrees max. It usually runs around 160.

Let me know if this helps, my oil pressure starts dropping when the oil gets real hot.
