What is the height of your drives off the bottom of you boat? I am trying to do some home work but can not get any measurements. ? Botttom of hull to center of prop shaft. Mine is 4". If I had a 35 with 502mpi's I would put pro chargers on and hang on. we have guys running them here and love them.

www.dallasboats4sale.com, I have had it for 8 months it has been repowered with 500efi's and Ext. boxes all put on by Leon Derberry. it has 28Q4 hydro props turning in. the drives are marked 1.36 ratio and it will turn 5150 rpm's which comes out to 82.8 on gps at the Clear lake poker run with both tanks full , gear and my girlfriend on board, my X is 3" and it still comes on plane pretty good, have to baby it a tad, never tried any other props yet, hope to this winter, hope this helps a little
Your numbers suggest that the drives are 1.5:1. You would be running in the high 90's with 1.36:1. I would not be surprised if Leon rebuilt or swapped the upper gears out of your drives and replaced them with a 1.5 set.

I bet you are right about the ratio on the drives, the boat just dont feel like it is slipping , I need to turn the engine over 1 full revolution and see how far the prop turns

I have 1:36 gears in mine and all calculations say near 90 but I am at least 9 off. I know the motors are fine , the loss in speed must be in the drive. I want to try -2 and this will put the prop shaft two inches up. ???????????????? Another thing If I took all the stuff that my wife puts inthe boat out, it might run 100.

what a deal 109K for a 98 with black motors - I'll let mine go for mid 90's - & I guarentee it's cleaner, newer & wayyyyy faster.
