I know about rotted wood. My cover leaked around the arch and ran down the sides.

I tried the rubber backed marine carpet without snaps and at higher speed it would start lifting. I did later install snaps. Velcro in key spots would also work.

my 93 and new Fountain has no snaps. I could use 2 Velcro patches where wind can catch it.

I have a friend with an 89 38 fever. When I had my new interior and carpet put in my 2000 fever I was going to save the skins for my buddy to put in his boat, but the interior guy at Fountain said they changed the design of their bolsters in the mid 90's and they wouldn't fit the older boats. When I got the new cockpit carpet I gave him my old one and the pattern wouldn't match up with his bolster floor pattern - so it wouldn't fit either.

These prices don't seem fair to me for a custom rug :(

When you call these places ask for carpet weight. There is a big difference in quality.

Re: Cheap Fountain

quality is important to me, but i dont want the carpet so thick that you cant fold it and get it out easy. the stock carpet is perfect. if i can get it made like that i would be happy. i mean if it has thick rubber on the bottom how do you take it to the dry cleaner? beer, drinks and thing i shouldnt mention WILL get on this carpet :evilb:

Carpet cleans up easy. Only if you took a dump on it you may have a stink problem :evilb:
