Default Thoughts on a 2005 47 with trip 525s?

The boat runs 90, big enough cockpit to keep the wife happy and it can have a bimini top. It only has 40 hours on it and still has factory warrenty until June 06. I can extend the factory warranty for a price. I have always bought new but the boat looks so nice. It is kept in a climate controlled garage and covered. I figure if I can save over $125,000 on it for 40 hours I am going to bite. He is willing to take my boat in on trade(less than I wanted for it but I will save $15,000 in taxes and his boat is priced right) He also will deliver the boat for free since he has to pick mine up. I have a Fountain 38 LX with trip 225 optimaxs now. I am wondering if the boat is too big? That is why he is selling it but he boats on lakes. I do my boating in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It weighs the sames as my boat and is a beam that is 1'5" less than mine but 9' longer. I was wondering if anyone on here owns one that could tell me what they like about and don't like about it. This is the boat. Thanks Mike

I have spent a fair amount of time on my buddy's 2004 and it has been a great boat. The engines run like a top and the boat will cruise at 75 with 8 people aboard. They did make some very slight changes to the 2006 hull, but the boat is as comfortable as any I've been on. The cabin is great and the AC and genset are a sweet addition for when it gets steamy-it is set up to run them at speed. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. I am just waiting for a quote on insurance for the boat and the bank guy. Once I talk to those guys I will go for a ride in it and will hopefully have the boat by the end of the month. To bad I just missed the Sarasota poker run down in my area. Mike
