redoing a dash i have a purple wire coming off the alarm does anyone know where it goes to wire is broke.the other alarm has the same wire that ties to a pink then to the ignition.the alarm is going off but i have not had time to check complete system meaning drive oil and the nomal stuff.any info is much appreciated

purple on mine is 12v switched; goes from the alternator to the ign. swtch to all the guages
Any Merc. manual will have the general diagram. The buzzers and alarms you'll have to trace.

thanks my purple comes off the bottom of the alarm i dont have a book on it maybe somebody on here does it is a 1992 35 lighting

That puple wire should be switched power to the alarm. The other wire(s) from the alarm will go whatever corresponding sending unit. Go to the library and get a 1992 Mercruiser service manual. It will clear it right up. Good luck.
