MV35 ran 109.9 last fall in a 97 single step 35. Monte is a friend of mine and I have been in the boat at 104, litterally " on a rail ". He has spent a lot of time on the little things to get where he is now, and is a wealth of information. Very precise in his approach to everything, and keeps track of all of it. He is 800+ hp, Imco -2 lowers,5 blade Maximus, diffuser ring cut last fall got the last 5 mph. If you can get him into this thread you stand to learn a lot. BTW I also own a 35 Fountain, 99 w/500's. Also have another close friend with a 99 35 w/PRI 610 cid 800+ hp naturally asperated motors, Stellings boxes, that runs 100+ as well. You will need to be in that 800+ range and a well set up package to even think about the tripple digits. It's cubic inches and cubic dollars, more of each can get you there!!!!

I will most likely fall short with only 700 hp - the dyno numbers will be coming next week! Then, I need to start playing with props. By the way, what are you speed demons running with regard to props? I have always run Hydromotives, but I know some are running labbed Bravos.

I spoke with MV35. He is indeed running 100++. Looks like the shorties with the Maximus is the way he achieved his top speeds besides tons of power. He felt that this hull definitely needs shorties for top speed.

Been at Texoma all weekend, been running spinellis w/ 1.36 switched to XR drives 1.50 ratio, w/ bravo props 15 1/4 x 32, definitley under propped. Does anyone know about lab finished props? Also, I was at Derebery Performance last week where a friend of mine bought a B-MAX for $1000. It was the old style, had the small U-joints, the bottom case was apart, but everything looked good. Looked at his new Skater, says it's gonna break the 200mph+ record he'll be testing in August, hope he doesn't hit a big wave, I am a scuba diver i'll be after his motors!

I spoke with MV35, who was mentioned on this thread. He said he really picked up speed with this prop, as well as cruising speed. I think he said he was only turning 2500 at 50 mph.
